Below are the top rated online news sources available today.

CNN.com is an extremely popular news site.
It is frequently updated with the latest news from CNN's staff of thousands both from the US and around the globe. The day's feature stories are constantly refreshed and updated, some featuring live streaming video streaming and audio.

CBS News provide extensive news coverage through their Web site from their existing CBS Worldwide Inc. team of correspondents. The site works well to bring not only the latest headlines, but the detail as well from their large resource of online news information. They also provide an email service so you can have the latest news delivered to your desktop.
ABCNews is part of the go.com family of leading Web sites and provide the latest news headlines along with some audio and video coverage in a well thought out and highly usable format. They also provide news by email with their news alerts service.
Google news offers a slightly different layout and is not as inviting as some of the other online sources. The top stories are layed out one after the other but they do offer continuous updates from around the globe. Below is the top 15 news sites based on people accessing them. Personally I prefer to look at CBS news because of the familiarity of the faces I see. I think this is because of television and the fact that I like to watch CBS news.

1 CNN.com

2 CBS News

3 ABCNews

4 Google News

5 Reuters

6 Yahoo News

7 BBC News Online

8 World News

9 MSNBC

10 FOXnews

11 USATODAY.com

12 CBC News Online

13 Time.com

14 The Associated Press

15 Guardian Unlimited

Perceptions of objectivity of online news

Of all the news sources available today, radio, television, online, newspaper or other the most frequently accessed news source from my survey results is television. Television is accessed most due to habit versus convenience or reliability. Television was also rated as the most trustworthy news source available today. Newspaper (not internet) was rated as the most unreliable news source.
From the survey results, it is also noted that people feel that of the online sources available, not all online sources are reliable. Some are more trustworthy and reliable for accuracy of news than others. Personally, I feel that what makes an online news source more reliable is the organization itself, not the fact that it is posted on the internet. For example, CNN is reliable to me regardless of whether the information posted by CNN is on the internet or on the television. If a news source is reputable, it does not matter which vehicle they use to disseminate the information.
In conclusion, online news sources have the ability to offer the most up to the minute news coverage. With all other news sources there will be a lag from the original story to the update of the story. Newspaper will have to wait until the next publishing, radio will update with the next news segment, and television will be the same unless the channel is a 24 hour news channel. If the update or news story is a major story, the television may interrupt an existing news story to update you. Online also offers you the ability to access other links to the same story to get more in-depth information.

Colton Country Days

Fun had by all at Colton Country Days
Frog jumping, live music, bouncy houses, spaghetti dinner and fireworks marked the day’s events. The event kicked off at 9:00 a.m. on Main Street in Colton on Saturday. There were many vendors for the craft fair, as well as many patrons. The streets were full of people by 10:00 am when the annual frog jumping contest took place. The big winner this year was Freddie the frog who jumped 9.4 feet in his first three leaps. A silent auction took place, live entertainment which included jazz and rock n roll along with many food vendors contributing to the day’s event. The day was also celebrated with many Colton alumni who got to share stories and pictures of their lives. The day ended with an ice cream social in the evening followed by fireworks.
